Merry Christmas!

I love this time of year, I mean who doesn't?  The lights are up, the tree is up, the decorations are up, the snow is falling, the music is playing, the food is cooking, the treats are baking, the smells are in the air (the good smells), and the traditions are all around us.  I've mentioned this before but Christmas is not just a destination holiday.  The true meaning of Christmas is celebrating the birth of Christ and the opportunity that was laid out for us, but Christmas is also about spending time with family, doing the yearly traditions of old and of new, and just having a different feeling in the air than the other 11 months of the year.

Christmas is 12 days away so let the 12 days of Christmas begin.  Do something each day whether big or small for Christmas.  Some of the things my family will do during this period consist of:
  • Watching Polar Express
  • Walking through Temple Square in downtown SLC
  • Driving through neighborhoods looking at lights
  • Driving through the lights at Thanksgiving Point
  • Buying a gift for someone on the giving tree at University Mall
  • Making cookies for ourselves and our neighbors
  • Watching football (this is just a given)
  • On 12/23 is when we go to the mall and all pick out our new Christmas shoes as a family
  • And of course spending time with friends & family including my daughter Brooklyn's birthday today.
Whatever you do and whoever it's with, have a very Merry Christmas and be safe out there!

Thanks for reading!

Aaron
