Where is our focus?

It seems like an entire generation has lost or is losing it's focus.  And at times I feel myself being a part of it.  Instead of looking for ways to work harder and smarter and making more money, we are spending our time looking for ways to save and spend less money.  By doing this, we only make things worse for ourselves, our communities, and our Country overall. 
What we should be doing is this:

• Finding a job or career that we enjoy and be the very best at it.  This can be anything that serves a purpose for the people and generates income for ourselves.  Then we take part of our income and look for ways for that to make money on its own such as real estate investing, stock investing, small business, storage sheds, gold, currency, life insurance, long term savings, IRA, etc.  Then if we still have a need we find another source of income.  Financial experts would advise us to have 6 sources of income (which doesn't always mean we work 100 hours per week).  Doing whatever it takes to provide for ourselves, our families and the people around us by investing in others. 

Now that is what we should be doing but in reality, the new America is getting lazy.  Instead of what I mentioned above, this is what we see these days:

• These days people are looking for NO sources of income and 6 ways to save.  Coupons, Groupons, EXTREME couponing, more discounts, cheaper and cheaper.  Unemployment is becoming a COOL thing to do and finding ways to get things for free has become a way of life.  Our ancestors would get our of their grave, and smack us 3 times in the face if they saw what we were doing to their great Nation.  Instead of working for the money and spending the money to keep the economy rolling, we are filing for unemployed, living off of our neighbors, then spending hours upon hours searching for coupons and other popular ways to get more free stuff from our neighbors so we can sit at home and provide a service to NOBODY. 

So what does this all mean, it means instead of making money, spending money, providing a service to our Nation and it's people; we are sitting at home, collecting unemployment, and spending time that we should be working looking for ways to save the money that we don't have because we aren't working. STOP IT!!!

Get up, get going, and make a difference in a POSITIVE WAY!!!
