What does the Movie "HOME ALONE" really mean?

It seems like there are a few movies that come on TV often that keep you watching every time they come on and you tune in.  Home Alone is one of those movies for me.  What does that movie mean to you and really represent.  Of course he could have just called 911 and the cops could have come and picked him up and the movie would be over.  But I'm glad he didn't because here is what I get from the movie:

  • As the family in the beginning we should be sure to give attention to each of those around us, especially when they need it the most.
  • As Kevin we should never wish to be on our own and assure that we truly do appreciate those in our lives.
  • My favorite quote from the entire movie is after he stops hiding under the covers and realizes it's not that bad and he says "I'M NOT AFRAID ANYMORE!"  How powerful are those four words.  How many trials, difficulties, and situations have we been in where those 4 words could really come in handy.  As a real estate agent I get to talk to many people and of course I get to hear the good the bad and the ugly from each of them.  Like I tell my wife every time something doesn't look so good, as long as we are still living in this Country and breathing then we still have a chance.
  • And the final thing I want to discuss is the importance of having a plan and sticking to it.  It's silly I know but Kevin rolled out his house plans with each booby trap laid out perfectly.  Without this plan and the focus of sticking with it, he surely would have failed.
Now my challenge to you is to take a second and watch the simple show soon and really think about what it means to you!  Take some time to really appreciate those around us and take a look at whatever ales you and say to yourself "I'M NOT AFRAID ANYMORE!"    Remember that if we have a plan and stay focused and another new day ahead, we can and will accomplish great things!

Thanks for reading!!!
