As I spent the afternoon in Hollywood near the Kodak Theater, Capitol Records, and Beverly Hills, I thought to myself "what is it that separates these people from ordinary people like you and me?" I even had a chance to walk down the red carpet while they were setting up for the Academy Awards this weekend, and as I did that and looked around, again I thought "what makes these people special and what did they do to get to this point?" I even had dinner at he ever-so-famous Hard Rock Cafe. And as I looked around at the memorabilia on the wall, I thought "how does someone get to this point?"I've been thinking ever since and have decided so far that each of them did one or many of the following:
They recognized a talent inside and took advantage!
- They took a risk and it paid off!
- They put themselves in a position to be recognized by others!
- They put in a lot of hard work!
- They put in the time and effort!
- They were lucky!
- They got an opportunity and took full advantage!
- They had a dream!
- They made goals and didn't stop until they got there!
Now how does this relate to us? We may not be on the red carpet and we may not win an Academy Award, but we CAN ACCOMPLISH BIG THINGS!!! So here is what we need to do to make big things happen for us in order: analyze our talents, have a dream, set some goals, put in the time, effort, and hard work, put yourself in a position to be noticed, take the risk, and take full advantage when the opportunity comes along.
If we do these things, we too can accomplish great things and too BE GREAT!!!
