What are the effects???

As we all know, everything that happens and everything we do, comes with some kind of effect either large or small. Some effects are more obvious and easier to identify, but it could be the smaller less obvious effects that we should be concerned with. Let's look at some of the causes and effects:
  • If you eat too much.....you get fat!
  • If you smoke tobacco....you get lung cancer along with many other things!
  • If you drink alcohol....you get liver disease!
  • If you gamble....you get broke!
  • If you read....you get book smart!
  • If you work....you get money!
  • If you attend church and live worthy...you get blessings!
  • If you be nice to all people....people will be nice to you!
  • If you exercise....you get in shape!
  • If you lift weights....you get muscle!

I know those are obvious but after talking to a friend of mine yesterday about the effects some runners feel after a lifetime of long distance running, it makes you sit and think about the effects of what we are doing. He mentioned that it's not uncommon for long distance runners to have Parkinson's and/or brain shake because of the many years of pounding the pavement with your feet causing the brain to shift and move.

So I challenge us all to look at the events we do each and every day and try to brainstorm some of the short-term and long-term effects that will surely follow. Think of this as investment; there are short term, long term, low risk, high risk investments and each one comes with risks and rewards. What are the risks and rewards that come with the decisions, habits, routines, and daily occurrences that we are doing?

Something to think about. Thanks for reading!

Aaron
